Its down right embarrassing.
Caleb thinks he is so grown up that he can do whatever he wants. So he is constantly disappearing to go where he wants to or trying to put things in our car that he needs. Or he wants to push the cart but does more damage to anyone or anything within 5 feet of him.
Davis is off in la-la land and oblivious to anything around him. Carts, cars in the parking lots, and where mom is.
Beckham is officially a little Houdini and gives people heart attacks every 30 seconds with his cart theatrics (especially women over the age of 50). He somehow can get himself out of the belts of the carts. I don't know how, but its pretty amazing-and frustrating. Yesterday he took his first fall out of the cart. Thankfully he went into the basket and not on the floor.
Top that all off with constant "I have to go potty" (their favorite trick to pull when they are bored). Constant running in and out of people and cutting them off. Constant crys of dismay when Mom wont buy EVERYTHING we pass.
I'm so discouraged today.
What happened to my children!?!

Oh my goodnes...That post sounds like it came from me. I am right there with ya!!! One day it will get easier...(at least that's what I keep telling myself). Your yard looks beautiful with the green green grass. Love the future plans...they sound great!!!
I have already decided that once I have more then one kid and it starts to be anything like that that I will for sure not be running errands in the day. Or I will make Scott meet me. Sorry you had a rough day!
Can't wait to see all the fruit trees planted! YEY!
So sorry you had such a rough day. The shopping trips will get easier.
one trip to Walmart down there in St. George, we got a snack at the McD's there, went potty, finished our snack, went potty, started loading the cart, had a kid throw a thing of yogurt out SPLAT!!!! then potty again.. an hour later there was still nothing but yogurt mess to show for our trip! I am so willing to pay a babysitter now when I need to go out! :) Good luck shopping
I'm just glad I'm not the only one! I leave most stores thinking "That is it! I am never taking you anywhere ever again!" Of course that doesn't work...
oh.my.goodness. i so know how you feel. my boys are the same way and i guess i thought i was the only one...glad to know i'm not. i hope it gets easier.
Ahhhh sounds like life here. We were at Ross today, and I swear, by the time we left I needed a nap! It is so frustrating. In between pottys and apologizing to people because they walk right in front of them etc...they were picking up those little plastic things that fall off all over the store that say the size from the hanger...The employees think they are taking them, and either ask for them, or tell them not to do it anymore more (which drives me NUTS when people try to parent my kids) when the TRUTH is, they like to go to the front of the store and put them in the right pockets of the thing that organizes them. It is downright embarrasing...
Just wait, in 6 months you will know you are the mother queen bee with perfect children. Trust me on this one. It was that way with you and your brothers.
You're not alone...I think every parent has an experience like that. Our kids have their moments too!
