My first photo shoot

Okay so I did my first photo shoot of my good friend Mandys sweet baby. It was so scary for me! I love to develop new talents but I prefer to do it where no one can see until I'm good at it. So this whole practicing photography makes me very uncomfortable. Some of the pictures turned out great and some of them...well I learned how NOT to take that shot.
These were some of my favorites....
Thanks Mandy for letting me experiment on you and many thanks to Kekoa who was perfect and slept the whole time and let me pose him however I wanted without waking up!

As uncomfortable as it is to practice I need lots more, so please let me know if you would be willing to let me practice on you! Its free and I will give you a disk of the pics I take.

I really want to do families, not just newborns!

Lisa, I REALLY think you do such a god job. I am serious. You are welcome to do Cael's one year old pictures if you want. I don't know if he will hold still, but we could try. They look really good.

OK Lisa...Those really are GREAT!!! I LOVE the picture of the mommy kissing her baby's head. Newborn pictures are PRICELESS!!!

PS...I don't have a newborn anymore...but let me know if you are interested in taking pictures of kids/families!!! We need some new pictures of us...especially the kids. (It would be a GREAT challenge/learning experience for you...since it's so hard for my kids to cooperate when it comes to taking pics...HAHAHA!!!) But seriously, we'd LOVE to have you "practice" on us.

Hahaha...There are a couple "mommy kissing head pics". I LOVE the black and white one...although they are all really good.

Lisa... these photos are great! When you come to the OC in April do you want to practice on us? We would LOVE it! I want to do a family photo of Bri, Sav and me!

I think my favorite is that very last one. I also love the ones of him and Mandy together! Did any of those books give you any tips? You are always welcome to come play with Nathan and take some pictures. I was just thinking I needed some new ones. Maybe we can do it this week and we can both take some. I could even take some of you and Beckham (and Caleb and Davis) if you want. Call me!

The photos are beautiful. Great job! The PKU stuff is interesting. Sorry if I make you repeat something but you and John didn't know you were carriers (or could be) until Davis right? I hope everything turns out good and Beckham can always have a regular diet.

Those look great Lis. As for which pics not to take, it was hilarious to see certain angles from the pics that Judy took of Kam as a newborn cause...well...you know it the angles Ann Geddes never shows you.

Annie, we had no idea and no one in our families has ever had it.

Mark, that makes me feel so much better!

I told Brian that you are going to takes our family photos in April and he said if you really want a challange lets add Lily in the picture. Then you would have had experience with one of the craziest dogs in the world... all other dogs shoots will be easy after her!
